Since I found out on Tuesday that I am having a girl (which I was completely not expecting, but am oh so excited about) and since she will be sharing rooms with my son, I've become a bit obsessed and overwhelmed with how I'm going to decorate their room.
The first place I thought I would start is with the crib bedding. I definitely don't want pink, and I don't really want to spend more than $60 (I know, I'm cheap)- not too hard right? Wrong. I'm sure I'm just being picky (I won't do lady bugs, bees or ballerina princesses. Gag me.) but after spending two days in a vigorous hunt I've decided that I'm going to have to make it myself.
That's right, I'm going to make my own quilt. The bumper, sheet and dust ruffle are going to have to magically appear, but I'm making the quilt. I'm super excited about it especially after this amazing quilt blog I came across http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/. Check her out she is amazing. I started a quilt years ago, my first, that is still not done. But come on, it's the size of the Atlantic Ocean. I can handle a little bitty baby blanket right? The quilt pictured on this blog is from her website. I love the colors and poka-dots. I hope my quilt turns out half as well as hers do.
