Alice is over 6 weeks now. She's growing so fast, she almost fills up her entire bassinet. She is a great baby except from 9:00 at night lasting sometimes until 2 in the morning. This is her, "I'm not hungry because I've been fed, not dirty because I've been changed, don't want to be put down because I'll stream, don't want to be held because I will fuss," time. But we're working on it and perhaps one of these days I'll figure out just want she wants in its precise quantities and in the precise order- like a magic potion. But then of course as soon as I do that she will have grown out of it on her own.
Right now she is swinging in her chair, asleep with her right hand propped in the air and making beautiful moans as she swings back and forth. And then like that she is awake and needs instant attention...(and now she is nursing). With Alice there is no working up so something. One second she is asleep and the next she is releasing a noise meant only for the most urgent circumstances.
She is unique already. Unique and beautiful and mine. What more could I ask for?
